I’d like to introduce you to one of our future guest writers, Night Jose. Firm friend of 3:45 AM, Night Jose resides in Williamsburg, New York. Review:
It’s one thing to be addicted to sugar. It’s another to feel as though you’ve just ingested it by the hand full. Enter the Jamba Juice secret smoothie menu, and the downright sexy smoothie, the White Gummy Bear. It’s no wonder a place that advertises itself as Healthy doesn’t put its Skittles or Gummy Bear smoothies on the menu. Healthy living aside, if you’re not afraid of a few cavities, the White Gummy Bear smoothie might just be for you. Made primarily from sherbets, this smoothie is probably as sugar-filled as it gets, but it would mean nothing if it didn’t nail the taste on the nose. Fans of the Haribo Golden bear’s version of the white gummy rejoice, for though the image of sucking up gummy bears through a straw might not be that enticing, they’ve somehow made it happen, in taste if not in actuality. I might warn you against giving it to children, as I will not be responsible for any matricide committed under the influence of severe sugar rush. But don’t let me have all the fun. Try it yourself! And if your Jamba looks at you like your crazy, you can hand them the recipe below and tell them 3:45 AM sent you.

6 Ounces Peach Juice
4 Ounces Soymilk
One “Green” scoop of:
-LIME
-RASPBERRY
-ORANGE
-PINAPPLE
(Basically all of the sherbets)
and One green scoop of mangos.

NO OJ
Sub Peach Juice
LIGHT Orange Sherbet
Sub Raspberry Sherbet
NO Fro Yo
Sub Lime Sherbet AND Pineapple Sherbet
NO Soy Protein
Sub Mangos (If they wont let you sub protein for magos, then just pay the 50 cents)

As with other places that are poised to be gentrified, things begin to change. In Williamsburg’s case, the changes are in the very beginning stages, but I walked around the neighborhood and if there is one thing I hope they don’t change, it’s their tolerance of street art. I’m not talking tagging… and I know a lot of people would say what’s the difference, but take a look at some of the creative art below and tell me that the neighborhood would be the same without it.

Thoughts:
There’s no such thing as too many pickles. Or, as I learned last night, too much matzo ball soup when sharing with friends. In fact, though you might guess otherwise with the proportions at this place, everything was eaten, and in unconventional order. I would suggest Matzo ball soup, to half of your mini individual sized cheesecake, and then finish with a delicious, overstuffed sandwich. You might not be able to eat for a week, but it’ worth it.
